It’s been brewing in me for a while, and it feels like the right time to explore! I love podcasts… I am often listening to one in the kitchen, or on a walk… and it’s been swirling in me to create one, out of joy and a yearning to share. This happened on a walk, I recorded, edited the sound quality, and put it together :)
Heart Quest is a podcast that holds space for the sacred (& entirely none-perfect) experience of the vast, full-spectrum, crazy human Heart. This is where Life exists. Wildly messy, true true LIFE. Amidst the depths, widths, heights of Love. Where Presence consumes our Being, and human existence, in all its colours, shadows and extremities are held with care. We do not need to escape it… this Life, its pain, its highs… is here to hold us in something beyond our grasp or understanding.
In this episode I wanted to delve into my obsession with the term ‘divine spark’. The idea that we are all sparking out from fires of Love: from God, Source, however you term your beloved feeling of something that holds us and loves us.
I want you to taste, to feel, to writhe in the comfort and ecstasy of the fires of Love.
Sometimes I am rambling, and really just getting to grips with recording myself like this, and experimenting! So, please let me know what you think… and let’s keep delving in together.
What might you like Heart Quest to be about?? Let me know :)

Okay, so welcome to this podcast and this is Emeline speaking. I’m coming at you from some woods, a small forest
and I invite you to rest and sink in where you are.
Maybe you’re, you’re lying or sitting with a cup of tea. Maybe you’re also walking
and maybe you’re washing up.
I just, um, saying hello and thank you for tuning in.
This is a, a cast to invite a slowness and integration, which allows life to take the speed that we need. We want, uh, we’ve got to slow down a little bit first, uh, sometimes a lot, and the integration of that allows us to, yeah, respond to life, life’s whispers, so we can move. in the direction that our heart is guiding us to in communion with all of nature around us.
So this, this podcast is
As with all these forthcoming podcasts that I’m, kind of, been wanting to make for a while, and they are all improvised and sort of spontaneous, really. Um, I don’t Sit down and plan what to say. Um, they are, they are, there are intentions and inspirations. But it’s, it’s, uh, it’s the cast that is in the moment.
Just like life. A tree doesn’t plan, um, what it’s going to do. Whether it’s, it’s all, it’s all a co creation and that’s what we are, we’re, we’re a co creation with the elements and, uh, that this is really our, our, our learning is finding our place. Resting back into our place. It’s mostly when we drop our agenda.
And, um, We accept the inherited traumas or experiences that we carry. We let them be. We trust the therapy of life’s Ongoing presence amidst chaos. We can’t escape different relative degrees of suffering.
The mystery of life and death.
So this is not a podcast to escape life. It’s about meeting life, and that is a fearful thing,
and when I, what I realize when I say life, I, I actually mean life and death and all that is, there sort of needs to be another word, and I realize that when I say life, I mean God.
I mean that divine spark inside of our hearts that is shining brightly. And as we connect together now, my prayer is that your hour sparks. Become energized, encouraged, bright, and, um,
that’s all we have, that is all we have.
Um, there isn’t really anything else. And, when we come to the end of our life, That’s what we all have. Our spark. Our spark. Our spark. And the spark that, um, as we live, connects with other sparks, and at the end of other people, other human, other creatures, sparks. And as we finalize this life now that you are living, this spark is changed by your interrelation with others, it is changed by your co sparking This is the divine spark that is our soul, is our soul, is our soul, so sacred, so special,
so sacred and so special, this, this is. To be protected at all costs,
the sacredness and the innocence, the sacredness and the innocence
of who you are at this level, at this core level. It’s not your personality. It’s, it’s, it’s your core essence that comes alive when you interconnect, interrelate with anything that sparks your inspiration and your whole body tingles and comes alive with this chorus, this orchestration, magic in the body, in the cells.
In the blood, in the arteries, in the veins, in the legs, in the arms,
whatever part of the body that is alive, coming alive, whether you can feel it or not,
we’re so powerful because we can never be cut off from the divine. That’s the true meaning of power is humility.
The divine is the humility of life.
To be humble is to be proud.
You can’t lose who you are when you know who you are in your soul. This spark and it is a spark. It’s helpful to see it as a little spark that grows different energies and different interrelating. Because when you see this part of you is sort of small and, and infinitesimal and, um, I can energy that is, is, is, is potential then You, you don’t have to mind so much in your life because you’re, you don’t actually have there’s so much that we could want to get self defensive and very protective about when we remember that a lot of the things that we’re trying to hold on to are non important.
Right.
And I, I don’t. Uh, I don’t want to get too mindy about it, but just to disclose, I’m not talking about allowing yourself to be abused, or to be manipulated, and that it doesn’t matter, that’s something different. But I’m talking about On you in your own safe, protected space, in your own integrity, and with your dignity and boundaries, your divine spark is, is separate, is, is within and held within your body, within your frame.
And yet, You know, this is the one that when the body dies, the soul moves on because it isn’t actually of the body. It isn’t of the personality. And yet it contains all of that energy, the bits that are really important to us, the parts of our experience that are alive and bubbling and real and bright.
That’s it. So, take a deep inhale and a deep exhale
and receive this energy of, of your, your spark connecting with God. So there’s a mystic belief around the sparks coming from the divine, from the source, from God. We are all these little sparks flying out from the great fire of, of God, and when you breathe into your spark, the soul, Breathe fan to flame and connect to, just like quantum physics, it is, you know, cross dimension, cross time, connect to divine, the source, the fire, the heart of God’s radical love, radical presence, radical humility, radical power.
I say power and humility because power has been so misused that it almost needs to change words. Like, it, it, it just, it’s been so religion and power and hierarchy, it’s so distorted.
Like, there are not many leaders in the world,
in the kind of, you know, media ized world, that you can say are really in power, in the, what I mean by power. And if you look underneath, deep, if you look in the places that are not looked for in the limelight. If you find some elders there, you might find true power in the humility.
And this is where the interweaving happens with nature, with the elements, with the unseen beings. This is where the interrelating happens in the humility. This is child likeness,
this is innocence, joy, curiosity, naivety,
just to invite you to feel that presence, that presence, the lightness of this presence.
That is your interrelating with the unseen. It’s where your skin, the very surface level of your skin starts to tingle, vibrate, and it’s like the edges of boundaries of reality start to intermingle, and you have this cross vibratory. Uh, kind of um, translation, interpretation, through these realms, ah, so, inhaling, exhaling.
And what is the point? What is the point of all of this? Why, why this experience? Why this conversation?
I mean, if you don’t understand by now, and if you’re not still listening, and if you are still listening, I mean, then I think you understand. So we can delight together in the fact that this is reality. This is sanity. When we’re dropping these other things that have a place, but have been placed far too at the centre and created imbalance.
When we drop the centralisation of these things, and we replace this experience of the presence of the Divine Heart,
Something changes permanently in your being.
It’s not a religion. It’s, uh, it’s really, it’s, it’s, um, as you probably know, experiential. The presence. Experiencing. The presence. Presence. And it’s not impersonal either.
It is a being. A presence. Existing. Known through the faces of many names.
Incarnate in many ways.
So. This is comfort because this is a real existent being who knows human skin. Life in a human body has suffered excruciatingly.
The divine is not some purification from life. That is an abomination.
In its extremity, in the way it’s been used, there is purity, beauty is found therein too. But the way it’s been used to determine human existence as impure and separate is fairly abominatory because, but with grace and compassion, I say that. To help us to take comfort that we don’t need to go in that direction anymore.
It’s eased. It is eased. It was always eased. If
you look at the soil, in fact if you’re outside, feel the soil under your fingertips or under your toes. And your skin, against your skin. That is purity. Look at your skin, how dirty it is now. That soil is, is in fact a pure composition, but without that composition the plants would not grow, and human life would not sustain.
Animal life neither.
Compost is an array of old, dying, decaying matter that creates pure balance. So purity and life are nothing to do with separation from decay, mess, chaos. Suffering.
And neither is the end goal of those things. Anything better. Anything pure. But the openness to our coexistence. With the cycle of life. Helps us to connect to that which is beyond our experience and within, more deeply within. More deeply within the experience is the thread and yet it’s also outside of the experience.
Always a paradox. Within the cyclical experience is the thread of divine spark connecting us to the divine heart of the fire. The passion of love. Passion. Experience of an array. A full spectrum of human emotions.
A bleeding heart of love.
So, I have deposited you into a deep pit of experience that is held in the bosom of the earth. And I invite you to breathe this humic soil.
Condensating perfume of life.
Everything occurring at once. And the presence that you have to drop into that right now, into that moment, that you can bring into every moment, is the presence of gravity. And I will join you again soon, and we will journey deep and further together into this life. And I thank you for being with me on this journey, in this present moment.
Let us come full circle into the innocence of the divine. Spark that is found in the pit of our experiences and at the crepuscule,
the heights and at the lows, at the widths and at the depths.
We are light and we are heavy. We are curious.
We are the full spectrum of who we are.
We are immovable, and yet we move on the winds of change.
Let yourself be with what you are with now. It doesn’t need to be anything in particular, but we remember. The lightness of our being at the same time as the depth and the heaviness of our being. So we know our coordinates. We know our compass. So we can allow ourselves to go deep into the experience that we are in, whilst knowing that there is a way through.
And navigating the heart. Because the heart is huge. The heart is so big. And we don’t need to be afraid because there are ways to navigate, navigate. And we learn, it is the great mysterious journey, the great quest. We learn as we go. We learn as we go. Which is just like this podcast. So I’ll meet you again in this heart quest.
Maybe I’ll call it this, the Heart Quest. Mmm. Great gratitude.
See you again soon.
